Law Day 2025 event offers free legal aid in Reno

The Washoe County Law Library, in collaboration with the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association, is set to host a special "Lawyer in the Library" event in celebration of Law Day 2025.

The event will take place on May 1 From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Washoe County Law Library, located at 75 Court St. in downtown Reno.

Attorneys specializing in Family Law, Civil/General Law, Probate Law, and Landlord/Tenant Law will volunteer their time to provide free legal assistance. Each participant will have the opportunity for a 15-minute session with a lawyer. A Spanish interpreter will be available to assist non-English speakers.

The event operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and no registration is required. All volunteer attorneys are members of the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association.

The Washoe County Law Library aims to enhance access to justice by providing information and partnering with organizations to address the legal needs of the community.
