'In MMA Fight? Sure': Seth Rollins On The Idea Of Facing CM Punk In UFC's Octagon
Seth Rollins even urged UFC president Dana White to make the fight with CM Punk happen.

WWE superstar Seth Rollins has expressed his desire to face CM Punk inside the UFC Octagon. The ex-World Heavyweight Champion has been involved in a heated feud with Punk since the Second City Saint returned to the WWE in 2023. They are currently scheduled to compete in a Triple-Threat match at WrestleMania 41.
Speaking ahead of his upcoming bout, Rollins rekindled his rivalry with Punk by making a bold claim on the Outta Pocket podcast on YouTube. When asked about the prospect of facing the former WWE Champion in a UFC fight, Rollins suggested he was in. “In an MMA fight? Sure, yeah, I would," he said.

Seth Rollins even urged UFC president Dana White to make the fight happen. “I’m not going to bust into his locker room backstage and start lighting him up, but if Dana White wanted to book CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins in a first non-UFC fighter vs. non-UFC fighter fight on one of his cards, I’d put on the gloves and give it a go," he said.
While Seth Rollins seemed excited by the idea of facing his arch-nemesis inside the octagon, he claimed it would be his only UFC fight. “It might be the only one I’d do, but if you put me in there with any of the other guys in my weight class, no, I’m out," he said.
Rollins claimed that a match between him and CM Punk could also make the UFC a lot of money. “Dana, if you want to make some money, book it, brother. Give us a few months. Give me a training camp. I feel like I could handle myself. TKO, we’re all under one umbrella now," he said.
CM Punk left the WWE in 2014 due to a combination of factors. There were several creative differences between his ideas and what the Stamford-based company wanted to pursue. Eventually, the Second City Saint joined the UFC after parting ways with the company. Punk’s brief stint inside the octagon was unsuccessful with a 0-1-1 record. He was released from the promotion after his second fight. Punk then joined the AEW before returning to the WWE at Survivor Series two years ago.
Seth Rollins and CM Punk are now on the road to WrestleMania 41. Their Triple-Threat match, involving Roman Reigns, will be held on Night 1 of WWE’s flagship show in Las Vegas.
